Glastonbury 2008: Amy Winehouse still 'intends' to perform

Amy Winehouse is still intending to perform at Glastonbury Festival on June 28, despite having been in hospital since Monday (June 16).

The singer is also confident she will perform at the Nelson Mandela concert in London's Hyde Park on June 27.

Amy Winehouse was admitted to hospital after fainting in her London home on June 16.

Speaking to BBC News today, a spokesperson for the singer said: "At present she still intends to perform at her two scheduled dates next week.

"However, the decision will be made entirely on the advice of her doctors and in her best interests. Amy has undergone more scans and tests today and we are awaiting the verdict of her doctors."

According to her father Mitch, Winehouse is planning to stay in hospital for as long as possible.

Actress CYBILL SHEPHERD is devastated HILLARY CLINTON has pulled out of the U.S. presidential race and fought back tears when she spoke about the news item on TV.

Shepherd was promoting her upcoming guest spot on U.S. sitcom Samantha Who on TV show Extra when the news of Clinton dropping out of the race broke.

A fervent Clinton supporter, an obviously distraught Shepherd said, "I love Hillary Clinton. She's a great woman. I believe she would make one of the best presidents in American history. All kudos to Hillary Clinton.

"I'd go to the ends of the earth for her."

But the actress has no qualms about supporting the Democrat who will now stand alone as the party's presidential candidate: "If Barack Obama gets the nomination, when he does, I'll go to the ends of the earth to have him nominated as well. But, Hillary Clinton has a special place in my heart."

Foo Fighters - Foo Fighters Release Wembley Gig Footage To Uk Cinemas

The FOO FIGHTERS are set to hit the big screen - they are releasing footage from their recent gigs at the U.K.'s Wembley Stadium throughout a chain of British cinemas.

The rockers played two gigs at the London stadium on 6-7 June (08), and were joined on-stage at their final date by veteran Led Zeppelin musicians Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones.

And the group were so pleased with the shows, they want to share the experience with cinemagoers - screening the performances at 50 Vue cinemas across the U.K. later this month (Jun08).

A representative for the rockers says, "These Wembley shows have been the most incredible experience of the band's entire career.

"They've never played bigger or better for a more insanely huge and appreciative crowd. It was an unforgettable occasion for everyone onstage and off."
